"To Live"
I recently watched this film in Philosophy class.
It tells the story of a man with only a few months left to live. In that short time span, he decides to become more free and loving.

Why is it that a death sentence helps us live our lives right?
Why can't we just start out living correctly?
Why do we need the fear of the afterlife to make us
live better?
Can't we just fulfill the human need to take care of one another?

To me, my sole purpose here on earth is to better the world around me. Whether it be through volunteer work, a family, my job, or even just planting a few trees, I believe that each person should seek to help someone or something.

I am a believer in the ripple
effect. I have this thought that someday I'm going to help someone, and in turn they will also help society in some way.

Call me crazy.
Call me an optimist.
I think I more just believe in man.

Label me a humanist. I wear that label proudly.
